Chicago, here we come...

Sorry that I haven't posted, I know that everyone wants to see photos, and we had to avoid taking pictures for most of the month. Alicia has been pulling herself up and standing on everything and she bashed her face on a chair and had a terrible bruise, so we didn't want many pictures :) However, she is all healed up and looking stellar for the wedding!!

It's been a HOT month of July here, these Californians are crazy, they keep telling me how it's logical not to have AC because of the cool ocean breeze, and as I sit here and sweat I try to understand the logic in that....haven't gotten it yet. So, we have been doing everything we can to escape the heat like going to the mall and Silvia's pool, the beach and stuff.

Alex can't swim, so he had to use all the noodles!! Just kidding, he's a great swimmer and nobody knows what he was doing with all those noodles :)

Chicago, HERE WE COME!!!!

It's finally here!!!...

Well, after months of drooling and chewing, Alicia's first tooth has finally arrived. It's like a sharp little razor, and apparently she's a long slow teether. I feel so bad for her!! Now, she is changing sooooo fast! She just got some new toys and I think that she is smarter already. She was baptized, so I'll throw in some pics of her in her fancy dress, and playing with the piano from her Aunt Vanessa!! Alicia is pulling herself to standing on everything and trying to figure out how to creep around from one side of her piano to the other while standing on two legs!! She's also a little chatter box now, and we have almost gotten down teaching her to wave. Her Uncle Wes thinks that she is a real genius!! We are having a ton of fun with her, so I hope you enjoy the pics.

Playing with her new toy dog from Silvia...this dog makes all sorts of funny noises and songs, it is really funny to watch her play with it.

I think that she is going to be an early walker...she likes to stand more than being on the ground crawling around...

The Fourth of July!!

Alicia has been changing very quickly and moving quickly as well!! She has started to crawl and follows me from room to room, but still prefers the army crawl when she really wants to get something. Here she is rounding the corner from her room into the hallway to find me...She also likes to give kisses...she opens her mouth big and wide and presses it against my face. We both become a slobbery mess...
We went to the beach today and Alicia had a blast. I took her last week and put her little feet in the water, but she didn't like that at all, so today we let her play nice on the towel...
Daddy took her down to see the water and the sound of the waves crashing made her a little sleepy...

Here is Alicia eating a plum...we put it in the little mesh holder and she can chew it without worrying about her choking on a hunk. She looovvvveeeddd it!!
Sometimes she has to take a break with all of her crawling around and put her head down in a little self-imposed time-out...

She loves it when her daddy throws her in the air and catches her...I caught the action in midflight!
