NO PICS!!

SO sorry, but due to a series of unfortunate events, I have lost all of my pictures since Christmas. I was planning on adding a bunch of the Chicago trip pics and house pics to the blog, but they are all gone :( So, I will try to take some pictures soon to put up.
On a better note, we have taken possession of our new home, and have been cleaning and working energetically to get it into living condition. I have scrubbed like I've never scrubbed before and gone through more cleaning products than you would think possible in a week. Alex and I are still in the honeymoon phase of home ownership and enjoying all of the work that we are putting in. Poor Alicia is tired of the travelling between houses and napping in the car if at all, and with my hands constantly covered in cleaning products, we haven't been able to spend as much quality time bonding...so for that reason I will be happy to finish this initial phase of cleaning and preparation. Some of the highlights so far have been letting Alicia loose in our front yard sprinkler system, making dingy grout on kitchen counters sparkle like new, pulling a bird's nest of nasty hair out of our shower drain, picking out and installing hardware for the front and garage doors. Today's goals: cleaning all windows, installing new doorknobs on all interior doors, and removing a security gate from the front door...and seriously, we're excited about all of this!!
I have to be off now to accomplish some of these things...I'll post more later, and hopefully include pictures.
