We relaxed at the pool today with Alex's family. It was a great relaxing time.

Sophia went for a little swim, then took a little snooze in her swing.

4th of July and then some

We are having a great 4th and just waiting around for the fireworks to start. We started the morning at the Corona parade…and it is quite the event!! Alicia waved for two straight hours, she ate suckers and got a beach ball. Sophia baked in the heat, and was thrilled when she got to sit in the chair alone in a little bit of shade. Alex and I cooked and laughed as we people watched. There are pictures of Alex and Alicia showing off their handouts, Sophia looking very festive in her chair, Sophia and I in front of the Corona cruiser on the route with some of its most frequent passengers, and Alex and Alicia waiting patiently for the parade to start!

This is a picture of a recent trip to dog beach with Alicia and Manny. It was Alicia’s first time really enjoying the ocean water, and Manny even went in a little too.

I recently shared a special day with Alicia while Alex was on a business trip. We spent the morning at Pump It Up and then had lunch at a little pizza parlor. It definitely felt like my little girl was growing up while she learned to climb through the bouncy obstacle course, and go down the slides…She also ate like a little grown up at the restaurant.

Alex’s parents recently treated us to an Angels game. It was Sophia’s first and we had a great time. I think it was Abuela’s first game too, and I think that she really enjoyed it.
